WERL is pleased to confirm that local company Water and Pipeline Services has mobilised to start installation of the water connection and telecommunication cable ducts for the Westfield ERF. The works are expected to continue for approximately three months to traverse the circa 500 metres and should provide key utilities to the construction site ahead of schedule enabling a more effective and sustainable approach to the project’s development earlier than planned. Alan Trueman, Project Manager, said “It’s great that we are able to employ local people to undertake key works on this project – it further enhances the positive impact of the project on the local economy and engages people in the exciting prospects this project, and the wider re-development of the Westfield site, offer”.
