Brockwell Energy Services was delighted to host Fife Council’s Economic Development Team (InvestFife) on 15 June 2022 for a presentation giving an insight into the progress on the project to date, the key next steps, and our ambitions for the Westfield ERF to be at the heart of sustainable energy development for other potential tenants on the wider Westfield site. We shared the presentation [link] giving an insight into the opportunities for potential energy offtakers before taking a sunny walk around the construction site itself to give more context and a grasp of the project scale.
The InvestFife team said “InvestFife is dedicated to creating good working relationships with key business investors, whether they are a new business or an established company in Fife. As a Local Authority who are committed to supporting Innovation in Carbon reduction, we also have a strong and growing profile of low carbon sector businesses in Fife, a range of site development locations and world-class training and research facilities. It was great to hear from Brockwell Energy to gain insight into key activity to date and better understand how the ambition of Westfield becoming a power and heat destination in Fife will become a reality.”
Matt Fry, Brockwell Energy’s Engineering and Development Manager said “It was a pleasure to deepen our relationship with the InvestFife team – they are great ambassadors for the capabilities in the local area and keen to see as much local involvement in the project as possible. We look forward to continuing working with them and our EPC Contractor, HZI, to maximise the opportunity for the local economy to benefit from this exciting project that has catalysed works on the wider Westfield site”.
